Thanks so much to everybody for surrounding my mom with your love, positive energy, and prayers during this challenging time. In our desire to keep everyone up to date on the latest news, we thought this would be the simplest format.

At this point, we know that there is a mass in her lung that is cancerous. It has been pressing on her left vocal chord nerve, causing one vocal chord to be paralized. She has a Pet Scan scheduled for Monday (9/30) in hopes of finding out the exact nature of the mass and the best course of treatment.

We will update here as soon as we get more information. Since it strains her vocal chords to talk, corresponding by email is best at this time.

Again, thank you so much for your support. Knowing she has so many loving friends and family members in her life, rooting her on, means the world.
